I have been involved in Real Estate Investing for over 25 years. I have learned a lot about Real Estate Investing during that time. I have made a lot of money and lost a lot of money as well. If I were to do it all over again, I would not have owned any real estate except for large apartment buildings.

Owning real estate has its fair share of responsibilities and liabilities. Most people do not make money from investing in real estate. Most people should not own real estate as an investment. To make money in real estate, you really need to know what you are doing. Almost everyone I know who has made money in real estate is doing it fulltime and have owned many properties.

The other books that I have written were instructional and were more focused on showing people how to get started in real estate investing and how to make money in real estate as an active real estate investor. This book, however, is the result of the many years of experience I have accumulated and is focused on how you can make money in real estate, passively, as opposed to exposing yourself to the challenges of direct ownership.

My new passion is to help people develop a real estate-based investment strategy that will effectively mature into a solid retirement fund that will provide an income stream for them when they retire.

What I find unforgivable is how our government and financial institutions have effectively brainwashed us into believing that most of us are being fully taken care of and all we have to do is take the advice of our investment advisors and everything will be all right.

There are a lot of people out there still working who are in their 60’s, 70’s and 80’s because they can’t retire. Some of the people who fall within this age group have a large savings amount at their disposal. The problem is that these people don’t often trust anyone with their money because our system has failed them. This book shows you how you can get started in real estate investing the right way.

Chapter 1 will look at the psychology associated with having a good Investment Plan and demonstrates the need for having a strong WHY to help drive your plan.

Chapter 2 covers how important it is to break the procrastination cycle when it comes to saving and to start investing as soon as possible and to cut spending.

Chapter 3 analyzes the current financial situation and covers the problems that a lot of people are facing with respect to their retirement strategies and what they need to do to fix it.

Chapter 4 looks at traditional investing and covers some basic concepts so you will know what to look out for when seeking financial advice.

Chapter 5 introduces real estate as an alternative investment strategy and discusses many real estate investment strategies and the different ways to structure them.

Chapter 6 discusses being a passive investor since most people are too busy with their lives to acquire an adequate level of expertise to properly manage their own investments.

Chapter 7 looks at how you can make money by lending money to other people, just as if you were the bank. It also looks at how you can fund these loans.

Chapter 8 talks about Private Equity Investments and how they can serve as the ultimate passive real estate investment strategy, in comparison to other real estate investment strategies.

Chapter 9 helps you define a passive investment plan that is based on your overall goals and demonstrates ways in which you can diversify that plan.

Chapter 10 shows you how you can customize your passive investment plan using alternative investments and how you can use registered savings accounts as a vehicle to double and eventually triple your investment.
